What is the most viewed TikTok?
Guinness World Records lists Zach King’s “Magic Broomstick” as the most viewed video on TikTok, with about 2.2 billion views as verified by TikTok on 15 March 2022. Checked against Guinness World Records: Most viewed video on TikTok Guinness adds that “Records change on a daily basis and are not immediately published online.”
TikTok’s page for the video carries the caption “They rejected my application to Hogwarts but I still found a way to be a wizard,” tagged #illusion, #magic and #harrypotter. On 7 October 2026 that page showed no view count, and the video didn’t appear in the visible part of King’s profile grid, where TikTok shows view counts, so no newer figure could be read from TikTok itself. Most viewed vs most liked: two different records
Views and likes are separate records with different holders. Guinness World Records lists Bella Poarch’s lip-sync to “Soph Aspin Send (M to the B)” as the most liked TikTok video, with 54.9 million likes as of 25 January 2022, while the most viewed video is Zach King’s “Magic Broomstick”. So a list that names Bella Poarch’s video as the most viewed TikTok has swapped the two records. Before you repeat a figure, check which record it belongs to and when it was counted. Both Guinness video figures date from 2022: they are dated records, not live counts.
Who is the most followed person on TikTok?
Guinness World Records lists Khaby Lame as the most followed user on TikTok, with 161.5 million followers as of 19 February 2024, and Charli D’Amelio as the most followed woman, with 152 million on the same date. Checked against Guinness World Records: Most followers on TikTok
TikTok’s profile pages give newer counts, rounded the way TikTok displays them. On 7 October 2026 they showed:
- @khaby.lame: 163M followers
- @charlidamelio: 160.3M
- @mrbeast: 143.1M
- @tiktok, TikTok’s own account: 96.1M

Only these four profiles were read, so treat this as a snapshot, not a ranking: it doesn’t show that no other account has more followers, and the counts change daily. Building your own audience? Why do “most viewed TikTok” lists disagree?
Mostly because there is no official list to agree with: no ranking of TikTok’s most viewed videos or most followed accounts appears in TikTok’s Newsroom or Help Center. Checked against TikTok Newsroom and TikTok Help Center (searched)Not verified Every list you find was compiled by someone else, on its own date, from its own sources. Four things pull them apart:
- Dates. Guinness’s most viewed figure was verified by TikTok in March 2022, and its most followed figures date from February 2024.
- Missing counts. The “Magic Broomstick” page showed no view count on 7 October 2026, so no current figure for it could be read from TikTok.
- Rounding. Profiles show rounded numbers such as 163M, and they change daily.
- Swapped records. Most liked and most viewed have different holders.
That is why this page has no top 10. It uses only pages you can open yourself, Guinness World Records’ record pages and TikTok’s own profile and video pages, each with the date it was read, and it doesn’t cite third-party “live” view trackers.
What creators can learn from the record holders
The useful lessons come from TikTok’s own Creator Academy, not from guesses about why one video took off. It is specific about what keeps people watching:
- Hook fast. TikTok calls the first few seconds of a video “the most critical in terms of hooking your audience and stopping the scroll,” and suggests opening with a question, teasing the finished result, setting a timer or creating FOMO. - Earn watch time. “Longer watch times signal compelling content,” so trim lulls and use quick cuts. Trends can boost visibility if you balance them with original posts, and sparking conversation encourages comments, shares and likes. - Don’t wait for followers. TikTok said in 2020 that neither follower count nor a history of high-performing videos is a direct factor in its recommendations, though accounts with more followers are likely to get more views. Checked against TikTok Newsroom: How TikTok recommends videos #ForYou (18 June 2020)
- Talk back. Creator Academy recommends replying to comments with videos, text replies or likes, and using analytics to see where viewers drop off. Checked against TikTok Creator Academy: Understanding and engaging with your audience
No view count makes a video viral, either: dictionaries describe going viral by how fast and far something spreads. For a fuller plan, see our TikTok strategy guide and how to get more views on TikTok.
