What this influencer media kit template does

An influencer media kit is the one- or two-page profile a creator sends to brands: who you are, who your audience is, what you make, what you have done and how to book you. This media kit template builds one in your browser. Fill in the sections, or load the fictional example, then print it, save it as a PDF, copy it as Markdown or download a .md file.

Nothing you type is sent anywhere, and the tool never connects to an Instagram, TikTok or YouTube account: every number in the kit is one you read from your own analytics and type yourself. Businesses also call their press kit (logos, facts, press releases) a media kit; this template is the creator kind. For what makes a strong kit and how other creators lay theirs out, read the guide to the influencer media kit.

What to include in a media kit

  1. About and niche. Your name, main handle, a one-line niche, a short bio and, if you like, your city or country.
  2. Audience for each platform. Followers, typical views, an optional engagement rate, top countries and age ranges, and the date and time window you read them.
  3. Content you make. The formats you offer, with links to up to three of your own posts.
  4. Past collaborations. Only real ones you may name.
  5. Packages. What each one includes, with prices optional.
  6. Contact. A business email, a booking link and your usual reply time.

The kit prints a "Last updated" date at the top, so a brand can see how current it is.

Where to find each number

Read every figure from the platform's own analytics on the same day, then type that date and the time window into the kit. The builder warns you when figures are more than 90 days old.

Instagram

In the Instagram app:

  1. Make sure your account is public. If you have a personal account, set it to public to access Your dashboard. If you want access to Professional dashboard, switch to a professional (business or creator) account if you haven't already.
  2. Tap Profile or your profile picture in the bottom right to go to your profile.
  3. If you have a professional account, tap Professional dashboard. If you have a personal account, tap Your dashboard.
  4. If you don't see your dashboard in your profile, tap More to go to your Settings and activity.
  5. If you have a professional account, tap Insights below For professionals. If you have a personal account, tap Your dashboard below Your insights and tools.

Checked against Instagram Help Center: About Instagram dashboards.

Instagram's audience demographics show top countries, top cities, top age ranges and gender for the accounts you reached (Viewers) or engaged (Accounts engaged); they need a preset timeframe and over 100 accounts reached or engaged, and Total followers trends (growth, top locations, age range, most active times) need at least 100 followers. Checked against Instagram Help Center: About Instagram insights (Viewers, Accounts engaged, Total followers).

Insights cover any period within the past 90 days: presets Last 7 days, Last 14 days, Last 30 days, Previous month and Last 90 days, or a custom range whose start and end are at least 1 day apart; the app opens on the past 30 days. Checked against Instagram Help Center: View account and content insights on Instagram.

YouTube

On a computer: Channel level:

  1. Sign in to YouTube Studio.
  2. From the left menu, click Analytics.

On a computer: Video level:

  1. Sign in to YouTube Studio.
  2. From the left menu, select Content.
  3. Point to your video and select Analytics.

Checked against YouTube Help: Get started with YouTube Analytics (Computer).

On a phone, the YouTube app shows basic channel analytics (profile picture > View channel > Analytics) and the YouTube Studio app has fuller reports under Analytics in its bottom menu. Checked against YouTube Help: Get started with YouTube Analytics (Android phone & tablet).

TikTok

In the app:

  1. Tap Profile at the bottom.
  2. Tap the Menu ☰ button at the top, then select TikTok Studio.
  3. Tap the tool you'd like to use.

On a computer:

  1. Log in to your TikTok account. You can also access specific tools from the TikTok homepage: for analytics, click Upload, then select Analytics from the sidebar menu; for uploading videos, click Upload at the top.

Checked against TikTok Help Center: Tools for creators (TikTok Studio).

TikTok says analytics are only generated for videos posted after you enable the feature, can take 1 to 2 days to update, and show follower activity in your local time zone but everything else in UTC. Checked against TikTok Help Center: My videos aren't getting views.

TikTok's Creator Academy says the Analytics 'Viewers' page shows unique and returning viewers, the inferred gender, age and locations of your viewers (from predictive models, not confirmed user data), most active times and what your audience also follows and watches, while the 'Followers' tab shows followers' gender, age and top locations and their activity by hour and day. Checked against TikTok Creator Academy: Analytics introduction.

Type the figures as the platform shows them: don't round up, don't paste numbers from third-party estimate sites, and never include bought followers or views. In the US, it is unlawful to buy or sell fake indicators of social media influence, such as followers, views or likes, that the buyer or seller knew or should have known were fake and that misrepresent influence for a commercial purpose. The FTC rule behind this took effect on 21 October 2024. This is a summary of regulator text, not legal advice.

Engagement rate: work it out, don't guess it

The engagement rate field is optional. Work it out with the engagement rate calculator, pick the formula you used in the "Formula used" field, and use the same formula on every platform so the numbers compare. This template shows no benchmark or grade: what counts as a good rate depends on the platform, the account size and the formula, which the guide on how to calculate engagement rate explains.

Making the kit work for a smaller account

  • Lead with your niche and who your audience is, not the size of it.
  • Link three of your strongest posts rather than many.
  • No brand work yet? List the formats you make and leave Past collaborations empty.
  • Keep it to one or two pages, so the audience section sits on the first.
  • Re-read your figures before each pitch.
  • Decide whether to show prices or point to a separate rate card.

For growing the account itself, see the social media growth guide, and for what the creator role covers, what a digital creator is.

After the kit: rates, disclosure and posting

When a brand asks for prices, build a rate card with the influencer rate card template. For estimates of what creators earn, the money calculators hold the sourced figures: the Instagram money calculator, the TikTok money calculator and the YouTube money calculator.

Once a deal is signed, the sponsored post must be disclosed the way the law where it is published requires. The US, UK and Canadian regulators word this differently, so read what sponsored posts must disclose (not legal advice). For the brand side of the deal, see the influencer marketing strategy guide.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should be included in an influencer media kit?

Six things, in the order the builder uses: who you are and your niche; your audience on each platform (followers, typical views, an optional engagement rate, top countries and age ranges, plus the date and time window you read them); the content formats you make, with links to a few of your best posts; past collaborations you may name; your packages; and how to contact you.

Should I put my rates in my media kit?

It's your choice. The Packages section can say "Prices on request", point to a separate rate card, or show prices you type. A separate rate card lets one kit go to every brand while prices stay with you; you can build one with the free influencer rate card template.

How do I make a media kit with few followers or no brand deals?

Lead with your niche, who your audience is and links to your strongest posts, not the size of your account. List the formats you make, and leave Past collaborations empty rather than invent one. A small audience that closely matches a brand's customers is worth showing honestly.

Where do I find the stats for my media kit?

In each platform's own analytics, read on the same day. Instagram says dashboards and free insights are available to all public accounts: a professional account opens Professional dashboard, then Insights below For professionals; a personal account opens Your dashboard below Your insights and tools. YouTube Analytics in Studio has Overview, Content, Reach, Engagement, Audience, Revenue and Trends tabs; open it from Analytics in the left menu for the channel, or from a video's Analytics for one video. TikTok Studio's creator tools are available in the TikTok app, in a web browser and in the separate TikTok Studio app, and TikTok says content management and analytics are best accessed from a web browser. The "Where to find each number" section on this page shows each platform's steps with the date they were checked.

How long should a media kit be?

Our advice is one to two pages, so the audience section sits on the first page. Keep the bio to a few sentences and link three strong posts rather than many.

What is the difference between a media kit and a press kit?

A creator media kit sells your audience to brands: who you reach, what you make and how to book you. A business press kit, which some companies also call a media kit, gives journalists logos, company facts and press releases. This template makes the creator kind.
