Does X Have a Watch History? Where to Find Past Posts
Does X have a watch history? Partly: X has started adding one to its iPhone app. In May 2026, X began rolling out a History tab on iOS that gathers your bookmarks, likes, long videos and Articles so you can pick up where you left off. X’s Help Center still documents no watch or viewing history, the new tab included.
Beyond that tab, four places X does document hold your own X history: the Likes tab, Bookmarks, Your X data and your downloadable archive. Likes turned private after the rebrand, too: our Twitter-to-X timeline dates that change and the others.

Does X have a watch history?
Not one X documents in its Help Center, but iPhone users are getting a History tab. X’s help pages on your data, the archive, videos, view counts, likes, bookmarks and X Pro describe no watch history, so there are no official steps for listing videos you’ve viewed. What X’s History tab keeps
On 12 May 2026, Nikita Bier, X’s head of product, wrote that X was “rolling out a new History tab on iOS to help you keep track of all your favorite content on X”. “Bookmarks, Long Videos, Articles and Likes will live here,” he added, “so you can always come back and continue watching or reading.” Checked against Post by Nikita Bier (@nikitabier), Head of Product at X (12 May 2026)
What X hasn’t documented:
- What counts as a long video: the announcement doesn’t define it, and X’s Help Center doesn’t mention the tab.
- How to clear it: X’s Help Center describes no way to clear the Videos or Articles lists.
- When Android and x.com get it: the announcement was for iOS, and the latest archived copies of X’s help pages (September 2026) still describe Bookmarks and the Likes tab on their own.
Where X keeps your past activity
In four places, each about your own account. You build two as you go; X keeps the other two for you.
| Where | What it holds | Who can see it |
|---|---|---|
| Likes tab | Posts you’ve liked | Only you (since June 2024) |
| Bookmarks | Posts you’ve saved | Only you |
| Your X data | Login history, connected apps and devices, blocked and muted accounts, inferred interests | You, when logged in |
| Your X archive | A .zip of your profile, posts, Direct Messages, media, Lists and more | You, after verifying your identity |
How to see posts you liked on X
Open your profile and tap or click the Likes tab. X made likes private for everyone in June 2024: you still see the posts you’ve liked, but others can’t, though like counts still show on posts. Checked against Post by X Engineering (@Engineering), X's official engineering account (11 June 2024) On iPhone, X’s announcement puts Likes in the History tab.

How to find posts you bookmarked
Open Bookmarks in your menu; only you can see what’s there. Checked against X Help Center: About BookmarksArchived copy, 4 September 2026 View the archived copy On iPhone, X’s announcement puts Bookmarks in the History tab as well. Our guide to X bookmarks has X’s steps for saving and removing them, plus folders and the public bookmark count.
Tip: if your app has no History tab, bookmark a video while you watch it if you may want it again.
Your X data and login history
Your X data is X’s summary of your account, including your login history. When you’re logged in, it shows your account details, your logins and the places you’ve been while using X, connected apps and devices, blocked and muted accounts, and the interests X has inferred about you. In the X app, open Settings and privacy, then Account, then Your X data. Checked against X Help Center: How to access your X dataArchived copy, 8 September 2026 View the archived copy
The same page says you can revoke an app you don’t recognise from the Apps tab in your settings.

Can other people see what you viewed on X?
No feature X documents shows anyone else what you’ve watched or read. Likes and bookmarks are private, and X’s announcement of the History tab doesn’t say anyone else can see it. FAQ
Is the X History tab available on Android or the web?
X announced the History tab for iOS on 12 May 2026. Its Help Center did not document the tab for any device when we checked on 3 October 2026, so it gives no Android or x.com details. There, use what X does document: the Likes tab on your profile, Bookmarks in your menu, Your X data and your archive.
How do I see videos I watched on X?
On iPhone, open the History tab: X says long videos live there so you can continue watching. Elsewhere, X documents no list of watched videos, so like or bookmark a video you want to find again; both of those lists are private to you.
Can other people see my watch history on X?
X documents no feature that shows anyone else what you have watched. Its announcement of the iPhone History tab doesn’t say who else can see it, but bookmarks are viewable only to you and likes have been private since June 2024. Your views do add to a post’s public view count, which is a total.
How do I clear my watch history on X?
X has not documented a way: its Help Center describes no control for clearing the History tab’s Videos or Articles lists (checked 3 October 2026). What X does document is removing bookmarks, one at a time or all at once, from your Bookmarks timeline.
Which videos does the X History tab save?
X’s announcement says Long Videos live in the History tab, alongside Bookmarks, Articles and Likes, so you can come back and continue watching. X has not documented how long a video has to be: its Help Center did not describe the tab when we checked on 3 October 2026.
