Metricool Pricing 2026: Every Plan by Brand Count
Prices verified on metricool.com/pricing.
Metricool pricing starts with a Free plan for 1 brand that never expires. Starter costs $25 a month billed monthly, or $20 a month billed annually, for up to 5 brands. Advanced starts at $67 a month billed monthly ($53 billed annually) for 15 brands. There is no standard free trial.
The catch is in the bundles: what you pay per brand depends on how full yours is, and the step between plans is where teams get caught. Below are the full ladder, the team limits per tier, and 10 client brands with 3 staff priced on Metricool, a per-seat tool and a per-channel tool. How we compare tools explains the method.

How much does Metricool cost in 2026?
Metricool has four plans. Free costs nothing for 1 brand. Starter runs from $25 a month for 5 brands and Advanced from $67 a month for 15 brands, both billed monthly, and Custom covers more than 50 brands. Paying yearly cuts roughly a fifth off each paid bundle. The table shows every bundle on both billing bases, with the price per brand when the bundle is full.
Disclosure: Outfeed AI makes a competing social media tool. We read every price on the vendor’s own page and recommend the competitor where it fits better.

How does Metricool’s per-brand pricing work?
Metricool bills by brand bundle, not by person or by social account. A brand is one business or client, holding one profile on each social network. You buy the smallest bundle that covers your brand count: Starter in bundles of 5 or 10, Advanced in 15, 25 or 50. Adding Instagram, TikTok or LinkedIn to a brand you already have costs nothing extra; X is a paid add-on on Starter and included on Advanced.
A client on six networks is still one brand, though two Instagram accounts for one client are two brands. Per-seat tools such as Sprout Social charge for every person who logs in, per-channel tools such as Buffer for every connected account, and Metricool for clients, which suits agencies with many clients and a small team. Our guide to per-seat vs per-account pricing compares all three on the same team, and our social media tool comparisons list each tool’s billing unit side by side.
Two small print items: Metricool’s pricing page says the prices “do not include any applicable VAT”, and unlimited publishing on paid plans is subject to its Fair Use Policy.
What do you pay per brand at each Metricool tier?
On a full bundle, a brand costs between $5.00 a month (Starter, 5 brands, billed monthly) and $3.18 a month (Advanced, 50 brands, billed annually). The per-brand price falls as bundles grow, but only if you fill them. Partly filled bundles cost more per brand, and moving up a bundle is where the price jumps.
Three counts show where it bites:
- 6 brands. Starter’s next bundle is 10 brands, so the sixth brand takes you to $45 a month, billed monthly. That’s $7.50 per brand instead of $5.00.
- 11 brands. Starter stops at 10. Brand 11 means Advanced’s 15-brand bundle at $67 a month, billed monthly, or $6.09 per brand. You also get Advanced’s team features, which the next section covers.
- 26 brands. Advanced goes from 25 brands straight to 50. Brand 26 adds $103 a month on monthly billing.

How these totals are worked out: USD list price before tax; no promo, nonprofit or volume discount. Smallest brand bundle that covers the brand count. Annual total = the vendor's annual per-month figure x 12.
What does Metricool’s free plan include?
Metricool’s free plan never expires and needs no credit card. It covers 1 brand with one profile per network, up to 20 posts a month, 30 days of analytics history, 5 competitor profiles and 5 AI credits a month. LinkedIn and X are excluded, and so are PDF and PPT report downloads, custom reports and SmartLinks.
The full exclusion list is in Metricool’s free vs paid plans help article, which also notes that the 5 competitors, once chosen, can’t be swapped.
Credit where it’s due: this is a working tool, not a demo, and Sprout Social and Hootsuite offer only a trial. For one brand on Instagram, Facebook or TikTok, it gives you a planner and real analytics for nothing. If your audience is on LinkedIn or X, Buffer’s free plan, which covers 3 channels including both, fits better.
What do you get on Advanced that Starter doesn’t have?
Team and client management, role management and the post approval system are listed only on Advanced. Advanced also adds full X analytics, customizable report templates with monthly automated sending, a Looker Studio connector and the Metricool API. AI credits rise from 20 to 35 per brand a month. Metricool publishes no user count for either plan.
In practice, Starter suits one person, or a team happy to share a login without approvals; Metricool states no seat limit, so we can’t give one. The smallest Advanced bundle costs $67 per month, billed monthly against $45 a month, billed monthly for Starter’s 10 brands.

Add-ons. Metricool lists an X add-on and an Advanced Analytics add-on for Starter and above. The pricing page doesn’t show their prices on the plan cards, so we don’t quote them here; check Metricool’s pricing page at checkout before you commit.
What does Metricool cost an agency with 10 client brands?
An agency with 10 client brands and 3 staff needs Advanced for team access. That’s $67 a month billed monthly, or $636 a year billed annually. For the same team, Buffer Team costs $160 and Sprout Social Professional $1,197, both a month billed monthly.
Whichever tool you pick, its monthly cost is one input to what you charge each client; our freelance social media rate calculator folds it into your rate.
Assumptions: each client runs 2 networks (say Instagram and Facebook), so 20 profiles, and all 3 people log in. Buffer Essentials allows 1 user, so it’s Buffer Team; Sprout Social Standard caps an account at 5 profiles, so it’s Professional. Rows are sorted by yearly cost. Scoping a real client? Our social media proposal template has a row per network, with posts per week.
| Plan that fits | What it bills on | Billed monthly (per month) | Billed annually (per year) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Metricool Advanced | The 15-brand bundle; team, roles and approvals included | $67 | $636 |
| Buffer Team | 20 channels; unlimited users and approvals | $160 | $1,600 |
| Sprout Social Professional | 3 seats; unlimited social profiles | $1,197 | $10,764 |

Metricool wins comfortably, and would win by more at 3 or 4 networks per client, since its bill doesn’t move while Buffer’s grows per channel. Sprout Social is a different class of tool, with a Smart Inbox, keyword monitoring and presentation-ready reporting that Metricool doesn’t match; Sprout Social pricing breaks down each tier. Buffer earns its place with unlimited users and approvals on Team; Buffer pricing shows the per-channel maths at other sizes. For features rather than cost, see Metricool vs Hootsuite vs Buffer.
Does Metricool have a free trial?
No standard one. Metricool’s pricing page lists no free trial; the free plan, which never expires, is the way in. Its help centre mentions promotional trial codes, but we couldn’t confirm their length or card terms on a Metricool page, so don’t plan around one.
The closest thing to a safety net on a paid plan is Metricool’s refund policy: a first purchase can be withdrawn within 15 calendar days, while automatic renewals can’t be refunded. Our Metricool review walks through cancelling and what reviewers report about renewals.
Where does Outfeed AI fit against Metricool?
Outfeed AI is a publishing tool, not an analytics one: you tell a chat assistant what to post, and it drafts, previews and schedules a version for each of up to 9 platforms. It has no analytics inside the product, no free plan, no approval workflow and no social listening, so on reporting Metricool is simply better. It prices by social accounts, not brands: Starter is $29 a month billed monthly ($24 billed annually) for 10 accounts, 100 posts a month and 1 team member; Pro is $59 a month billed monthly ($49 billed annually) for 25 accounts, unlimited posts and 3 team members.
For the agency above, 20 accounts and 3 people fit Pro at $59 a month billed monthly or $588 a year billed annually, a little under Metricool Advanced, without its analytics or approvals. Past 25 accounts you need Agency, where 3 seats cost $447 a month, billed monthly, far more than Metricool. Of the tools that bill per seat — Sprout Social and Hootsuite — Outfeed is not one of them at Starter or Pro; our per-seat tier starts at Agency.
Two more limits matter to an agency: X posts go out as text only, within a monthly cap, and TikTok posts publish as private until TikTok finishes reviewing our app. If reporting is the job, stay on Metricool, and if you want its rivals ranked side by side, see our Metricool alternatives guide. Starter includes a 3-day free trial with 100 AI credits. Card required. Pro and Agency are billed from the first day. Full details are in our Outfeed AI pricing guide.
